Tulsans now have a new tool to help stop bullying. It’s a website created just for Green Country families.
It’s called Prevent Bullying Tulsa, and it launched Monday. Several area non-profit agencies and groups have been working on the site since April.

According to the National Association of School Psychologists, bullying is the second-most-common form of violence in our society, with between 15 percent and 30 percent of students being bullies or victims.
Tulsa Public Schools and 10 area mental health and advocacy agencies have come together to provide the community with educational, counseling and advocacy services regarding children and bullying.

Eleven Tulsa area nonprofits and organizations met Monday morning to announce a new effort to prevent bullying in the Tulsa community–a website. All the involved agencies met to announce the launching of a PreventBullyingTulsa.org.
The site will serve Tulsa and surrounding communities as a resource hub for the bullying awareness, prevention, intervention and advocacy regarding children, teens, and adults.
