The J.W. Hunt Charity Benefit Auction is held each year in conjunction with the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals as a way for racing fans to bid on and take home awesome, unique and sometimes unusual racing memorabilia. The Auction is named for J. W. “Bill” Hunt (1920-1994), an avid racing fan and one of sprint car racing’s greatest benefactors.
Auction Coordinator Ken “JD” Cormack organizes a team of volunteers who search out terrific finds all year round to bring to Tulsa for this auction. Since 1991, the live Auction has benefited the Tulsa community by donating proceeds to support the mission of The Parent Child Center of Tulsa to prevent child abuse and neglect. More than $185,000 has been raised in the last 21 years and has helped over 2350 children through education, safety and therapy services at PCCT.
The Parent Child Center is very grateful to the Emmett Hahn family, Donna Hahn Harris, JD, the volunteers and the enthusiastic race fans who make this such a fun event for such a worthwhile cause.
The auction is open to anyone who has a Chili Bowl ticket or weekend pass.
